Nice!
For the 2009 fall/winter season, Pointer is looking to diversify its portfolio with an influx of new styles beyond the sneaker models you’re probably used to. And I think they have done a great job with their Tanju loafer.
It's so clean, crisp and NICE LoL... a good look for you guys out there and for ladies if they offer smaller sizes :o)
Tanju will release late next week at TheThreeThreads.com.

Jimmy Choo x H&M
Yes!
H&M's new collaboration is with Jimmy Choo and I am looking forward to it!
[The collection will be available from November 14 in around 200 stores across the world. It is the first time that H&M is collaborating with an accessories brand, and to celebrate Jimmy Choo will extend its design vision for this collection to women’s clothing to complement the accessories. Further exciting news is that this collaboration includes a men’s collection of shoes, bags and accessories.]
Clothing too!? Well Jimmy Choo is not known for their clothing but we shall see what they have to offer *shrugs* it can't be that bad...can it? And it's all being extended for men as well !woowwie!
I think H&M is doing a great job with the collabos and choosing Jimmy Choo to be their first accessories collab was an awesome move because Jimmy Choo is very well known and what girl or guy wouldn't want to own a Choo themselves without having to pay the Choo price!!
It's a match made in heaven :sigh: LoL

Oxfords: Love 'em or Hate 'em
Oxford shoes came about way back when in Scotland. And as we all know fashion is in constant recycle mode so of course they made their way back to us in 2009.
I want to know what you guys out there think about them?
Personally I like them...I like them a lot but it must be worn in like the coolest way possible! LoL I'm worried that I wouldn't be able to pull it off, but I want to try.
Either way, I found a small article in which advice was given on how to where the Oxford shoes so it doesn't look so... Steve Urkle-ish!
Do’s and don’t of wearing each style. Here are the four rules they set before you:
1. “Putting flat lace-ups with a wide-leg trouser or jean is a very dated way to wear them,” says Jane Herman, Fashion Writer. “Instead, try a cropped pant.”
2. “This should not be a Wall Street look,” states Filipa Fino, Senior Accessories Editor. “Let the men wear them with suits. Women should wear them with feminine pieces.”
3. “Don’t match the colors of your shoe to your outfit,” suggests Izzie Burch, Fashion Assistant. “These are playful—do the unexpected.”
4. “Avoid socks!” says Jill Demling, Entertainment Editor. “That’s my only rule!”

Really Adidas?
Ummmmmmmmm....
Ok so Adidas has had these "things" out for a lil bit, the SLVR 106, they are like a wedge sneaker mesh combo, if you will!
I'm not sure if its the idea I hate or the overall apprearence... maybe both! LoL
I think when ever a sneaker/heels collab have been attempted there has been failure. Lets just keep sneakers sneakers and heels, heels *shrugs* is that too much to ask?
I don't know... what do you guys think??

Tattoos in fashion
Tattoos and fashion have made a major collision and its been around for a while now. Gucci debuted their tattoo heart Spring '09 collection of bags that benefiting UNICEF. And we cant forget the ever-so-strange yet well liked shirts that came with "tattooed" sleeves, so you could appear to have arms that were completely inked!
:sigh: I DO NOT miss those LoL
Now Coach has pretty much mimicked Gucci and came out with their own ink-inspired collection this year... which I think they could have done without.
But before any of the above... rewinding back to Fall of 2007, there was a shoe designer by the name of Olivia Morris, who brought us the tattoo idea first! The London based designer made a collection of shoes featuring embossed designs by tattoo artist Stacey Gards. So we must give credit when it's due, and Olivia get around of applause! She is actually thinking of bringing the oh-so-cool shoes back next year for her brands 10th year anniversary. That would be cool!

Jay-Z : D.O.A (Death Of Auto-tune)
*Claps*
Thank you Jay! Yes...yes he is my favorite rapper... but still, he is breaking the stupid cycle of auto-tune artist that has taken over hip-hop!
It was T-Pains "thing" and then set-off by Kanye West, and was used by some dude first way back when!! But the fact of the matter is we need a BREAK and although I will admit to liking the song Paranoid, on 808 heartbreak, I really never liked the idea that he made a whole album using auto-tune... ugh? really Kanye? And thanks to him now all the artist just lined up to be next! smh (shaking my head)
:sigh: That's the breath of fresh air that Jay is bringing us with the much anticipated Blueprint 3 produced my NO I.D and Kanye West.
[Kanye West Promises Jay-Z's 'Anti-Auto-Tune' Blueprint 3 Will Be 'Amazing'
'We actually removed all the songs with Auto-Tune off of his album,' West reveals.]
So turns out Jay-Z had plans of using auto-tuned songs on the album but in the end removed them...hmmmmmm
Well... anyways here's the song

Fashion Icon: Jackie Onassis
She is always remembered for her style and elegance...
Before Mrs. Obama there was Jackie O who brought fashion into The White House and became a well know fashion icon. She was a fan of Chanel, Dior and Givenchy but also had many one-of-a-kind pieces made for her by Oleg Cassini a french-born American designer.
I truly admire Jackie both as a powerful woman and an American fashion icon... I even dressed like her one year for Halloween LoL!
But enough talking...here's the proof of my words!
Hellz-Bellz "So Lolita" Collection
The oh-so-dope Hellz-Bellz has dropped their oh-so-HOT summer 2009 collection "So Lolita" (love that name!!) The collection is full of Hellz Bellz well known graphic tees and edgy styled pieces that can compliment the Hellz type of chick's summer wardrobe.
From the beginning of the brand in 2005 I would say it has come a long way. Starting out with just T-shirts they now offer denims, blouses, skirts , dresses and jackets. I especially admire how Lanie (the designer) has brought up Hellz-Bellz to a higher fashion level, yet, still giving that raw, edgy, don't' take no bullshit type of style throughout the collections. And never leaving out the tees because Lord knows I L-O-V-E those tees!
I can't wait to get my hands on the pieces... did you see the "Gun It" dress!

Project Runway ... there's going to be Season 6!
Project Runway will be back ladies & gentlemen! Although it will be on a different network (Lifetime) and filmed in a different city (LA) I am relieved that it is coming back! Now I don't have to rely on that horrid knock off The Fashion Show.
When I first heard the news that Project Runway was going to be discontinued I was pretty sad because it was something I tuned into faithfully and even made a night out of with friends! Then The Fashion Show was announced to kind of replace Project Runway and I was looking forward to what it had to offer... I was highly disappointed! Not only does it seem pointless but it looks....well.... cheap! They have pointless challenges before the actual design challenge and they have been designing in groups the whole time before this week...but I digress.
Project Runways will be airing August 20th 2009 on Lifetime and funny that they haven't changed a thing on set! Same logo, stage and lighting LoL! But I really "want that old thing back!" Cant wait...
Sneaker Pimps : Miami
Sneaker Pimps made its way down to Miami this past weekend, coincidentally the same night as my aunts wedding and boy did I miss a lot! I was able to make it to the last 30 mins of the event, however i just missed the Cool Kids and the Clipse performances (sad face)
Sneaker Pimps is the worlds largest touring sneaker hip-hop lifestyle exhibition featuring over 1500 pairs of rare, limited edition, vintage, celebrity signed, artists collaborated sneakers and a collection of sneaker inspired artwork, fashion and photography. The tour also features live street art installations, live skateboarding demonstrations, street basketball competitions and live hip-hop and rock performances by some of the world's foremost recording artists.
I wanted to see the Clipse so bad because I never got to see them perform, and the Cool Kids because I'm in love with Mikey LoL! But I missed them....and just when I gave up on seeing them I bump into Mikey!!! (he actually remembered me from when I bumped into him in NYC last month...thanx Jenn!)
Besides that I heard the event was cool I got pictures and videos all thanks to Cruz and Luc http://www.myspace.com/unkleluc.
Video of the Clipse performance thanks to Derick G.
